To eat well, we must make the right choice. But do you do? Bio-Nutrition Workshops will be held in 6 French cities in November 2011 to sensitize you to the main principles of nutrition and answer any questions that remained unresolved until today!

Workshops are led by a dietitian, who will guide you in food choices and cooking. The program includes easy tips to help you compose simple and balanced meals including organic products. The dietitian will also supply tips to help you do your shopping by teaching you to find your way around the shelves and to decrypt the compositions of the products by reading ingredient lists.

To participate for free, is simple. Simply register on the site www.bjorg.fr beforehand. You will also find the workshop dates. The cities covered by these workshops are Paris, Lyon, Strasbourg, Bordeaux and Marseille. You will please to know that certain days are reserved for families and also suitable sessions for children!

For those who can not attend these workshops, we asked 3 questions to Maud Primet, dietician for Bjorg to see what mistakes to avoid and the right thing to adopt!

Women Health: What these workshops teach us to feed ourselves well? Why is it important and why we commit mistakes?

Maud Primet: A good food is an essential step for good health and keeps fit. An unbalanced diet can cause deficiencies or health problems such as obesity, cardiovascular disease or diabetes.
The diet also improves our quality of life. Associated with regular physical activity, it helps fight against external aggressions. Today, the French have trouble understanding how to eat well face an abundance of food, prepared food or our lifestyle increasingly squeezed. It appears easier to warm a dish that will make the kitchen while cooking a dish of vegetables is often more complicated!
Women Health:
What are common mistakes that you've seen?
Maud Primet: Currently, there is a phenomenon of "all or nothing". For women especially, it is conventional to alternate periods of food restriction with periods they call "relaxation". The different nutritional discourse promoted the deionization of fats and starches. Thus, it is not uncommon that some associate with deprivation diet. These behaviors can lead to long term, weight gain and metabolic disorders. Conversely, many people eat mainly snacks, sandwiches or casseroles. These are often high in fat and calorie and thus lead to weight gain.
Women Health: Can you give 3 tips for eating a balanced diet?
Maud Primet: First, stop leak some food: eat it!
Each food category has its place and importance in our diet. A varied diet is the only way to bring the body with the elements necessary for its operation. For each meal, you need a serving of meat, fish or eggs, starches, vegetables and fruits, dairy products, fats and water.
Another tip: Do not zap meals. To avoid feelings of hunger, do three meals a day. Be aware that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and think to focus on breads or cereals to take until noon. Do not skip breakfast and also dinner. Finally, treat yourself!
Food is not a "program" to follow, it should be fun. So remember to vary your meals in alternate foods. If your meal gives you pleasure, then you'll want to snack less during the day!
